A Complete Overview of My Development Environment: Dual-Machine Hardware Setup, AI Programming Toolchain, Agent Assistants, and Local Multimodal Creative Workflows
Computer: Windows 11 (26H2) + i7 12700KF + 3080 Ti (12GB VRAM) + 128GB RAM + 10TB SSD (multiple drives) + 10TB HDD / MacBook Pro (M1 Max) + 32GB RAM + 32 cores
Main development tools: ChatGPT Codex (primary development) / Claude (mostly for planning and architecture)
Auxiliary development tools: CodeBuddy (mainly to get free Tencent tokens), using the DS V4.1 Flash model for assisted development
Assistant AI Agent: Hermes + Mimo 2.6 Flash (used to help manage my computer, orchestrate tools on my machine for semi-automated tasks) Text editor: Visual Studio Code (basically used as a text and code viewer)
Terminal: Windows Terminal + Pebrel (running AI agent CLIs is a blast) / Ghostty
Knowledge base: Obsidian, self-hosted RAG
Workflow: ComfyUI (for image generation, 3D modeling, voice synthesis, etc.)
Local models: SDXL, Flux for image generation / Hunyuan3D Mini, Tripo SG for 3D models / Stability for sound effects / MusicGen for music / CosyVoice for speech synthesis
